How does the Avalanche Risk layer work?

The Avalanche Risk layer highlights slopes based on slope angle geometry only. It does not incorporate real-time avalanche forecasts or snowpack data. It is meant to help identify geometrically risky terrain, not replace official avalanche bulletins.
